ACTING WITH MRS. DAVIS is a Theatre Arts Education company dedicated to inspiring youth, growing educators, and advocating for the arts in urban communities. We are a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) based in Texas. We are also a Texas Education Agency (TEA) Approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider. Our Director, ShaVonne Davis is a Certified Theatre Educator with over 15 years of experience in Theatre Arts and Education. Our various youth programs and workshops are designed for ages 2-18. We work with school districts, community centers, and youth organizations interested in starting and growing Theatre Arts programs, or seeking to add Fine Arts enrichment.

Our “Kids Acting With Purpose” Theatre Arts Program has serviced hundreds of youth throughout Dallas/Fort Worth. Schools, community centers, and youth organizations book our program for daytime, afterschool, and summer programming. The program can be held for one-day or one-week workshops, or recurring classes. Through “Kids Acting With Purpose” participants explore various acting skills, audition techniques, creativity, self-confidence, and team-building. Programs can also be tailored to address social topics such as bullying, conflict resolution, or drug abuse.

We are a Texas Educator Approved CPE Provider and provide professional development workshops and education consulting specialized in Fine Arts programming. The “Lights, Camera, SEL!” workshop for all teachers and staff focuses on Building Positive Classroom & School Culture through Theatre Arts Activities. The “Set The Stage” workshop is designed for Fine Arts educators, directors, and administrators Starting or Growing Fine Arts Programs in Urban Communities. “#TheatreTeacherLife” provides new and seasoned Theatre Arts teachers with 25 Engaging Games & Activities to Start the Year & Implement Throughout. Our Education Consulting packages provide one-on-one coaching, accountability calls, and co-teaching sessions.

Our virtual and in-person private acting lessons are a one-of-a-kind experience for beginning to advanced actors.  Lessons are tailored according to the student's acting goals including audition technique, performance preparation, movement & voice, and stage confidence. We also host year-round virtual and in-person group Theatre Arts classes for youth ages 2-18. Our in-person classes are held at various locations and can be registered for on our website.
